LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, your side wins the lane; your E on Lucian enables double passive procs that outdamage what Jhin and Nautilus can output in short trades, and your W sustain negates Jhin's W poke over time.
- Post-6, the lane becomes even — Nautilus R is a hard engage you cannot bubble-cancel reliably, and a landed R + Q chain on Lucian is likely a kill even with your W heal.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to E Lucian before any trade, then use Q to bubble Nautilus if he walks up or to interrupt his Q mid-flight; your W should be used reactively to sustain Lucian after trades, not proactively.
- Do not waste Q on Jhin when Nautilus is threatening — Nautilus is the engage threat and your Q is your only hard CC to stop him.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam pre-6 in this matchup; Lucian without your E buff and sustain is vulnerable to Nautilus all-ins, and leaving him alone against a kill-lane support is a mistake.
- Post-6, if you have shoved the wave and Lucian is safe, a quick R + roam to mid can work, but only when Nautilus is visibly backing or recalling.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use W to poke Jhin — it is a sustain tool in this lane, not a damage tool, and misusing it leaves Lucian without healing when Nautilus engages.
- Also avoid standing in a straight line with Lucian; Nautilus Q passes through minions and you being clustered makes it easier for him to chain both of you in one engage.
