Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Caitlyn win this lane — your E empowers Caitlyn's autos for massive poke damage, your W sustains her through Zyra's plant chip, and your Q can interrupt Zyra's engage patterns.
  • Post-6, Zyra's R and Kai'Sa's R create a genuine kill threat, so you must respect their all-in and keep your Q available to interrupt Kai'Sa's E dash or Zyra's R follow-up.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to E Caitlyn before she walks up to poke, then use your W reactively to sustain her after trades rather than proactively — save your Q to interrupt Zyra's E root or to peel when Kai'Sa dashes in with her E.
  • Do not use Q aggressively to initiate unless Zyra has already used her E, as missing Q removes your only hard CC and leaves you defenseless.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam — Kai'Sa without Zyra's peel is not safe against a Caitlyn dive, and your presence in lane is what keeps the poke-sustain cycle functioning.
  • If you do roam, only do so after a successful kill in lane that creates a large HP/gold lead, and only if the wave is shoved to their tower so Caitlyn has time to reset.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your W to heal through Zyra's plant poke passively — that is a losing attrition trade since Zyra can keep spawning plants.
  • Save W for meaningful burst moments and instead reposition Caitlyn away from plant zones to avoid taking the damage in the first place.
