LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Leona's level 2 spike is the most dangerous moment in this lane — if she hits level 2 before you and lands E, you likely lose the trade badly even with your W.
- Post-6, your R becomes the critical equalizer: if you can channel it fully on both enemies, Leona's engage becomes a death sentence for her, but Caitlyn's range allows her to stay outside your R radius and continue dealing damage safely.
Synergy & Trading
- Your optimal pattern is to use E on Xayah preemptively when Leona looks to engage, then immediately attempt W on Leona — if W lands, Xayah's feather combo does significant damage and you follow with Q for sustain.
- Never use E reactively after CC has already landed, as the shield needs to absorb the CC, not be applied after.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam aggressively in this matchup because Xayah is vulnerable to Caitlyn and Leona's poke and all-in the moment you leave; your presence is the primary reason Xayah can function in lane.
- If you do roam, only do so after a successful recall sync where the wave is pushed into their tower and Xayah has enough HP to survive a short window alone.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk up to land W without your E available — Leona will simply E onto you, and without your shield you will eat the full CC chain and die before Xayah can respond.
- Wasting W on minions or throwing it at a target Leona can simply walk away from are the two most common ways to give this lane over for free.
