LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Yunara is immobile and your Q is a hard threat that forces her to play passively, but Maokai's W and root combo can lock you down before your Q lands, making the 2v2 roughly even with slight edge to you if you land Q first.
- Post-6, Yunara's R removes her mobility weakness temporarily and her sustained damage during Transcendent State combined with Maokai's CC chain can kill you through your E shield if the fight extends, so the 2v2 becomes dangerous for your side unless you land Q before R activates.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to Black Shield your Ashe preemptively when Maokai W is incoming, then immediately throw Q at Yunara who has no dash to dodge it outside of R — if Q lands, Ashe can freely auto and W-slow to extend the root duration for a kill threat.
- Avoid extended fights where Yunara's Q stacks ramp up; your role is to burst the trade with Q-E combo and disengage, not to sustain through her scaling damage.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave with Ashe to deny Yunara passive stack farming under pressure — Yunara needs to auto freely to stack Q, so a pushed wave forces her to CS under tower where your Q angles are easier to hit.
- Avoid shoving so hard that you lose vision control and get caught by Maokai's roam or jungle ganks, since your lane priority is only valuable if you use it.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use Black Shield reactively on yourself in a 2v2 — Maokai's W and Yunara's W slow will chain into each other, and if you waste E on yourself instead of Ashe, she eats the full CC chain and dies.
- Morgana players frequently over-commit to Q fishing and walk too far forward, giving Maokai a free W-root trade while Yunara stacks autos on them.
