- Pre-6, you win the 2v2 if you respect Nautilus's engage range and abuse your range advantage with Q poke on Kai'Sa through minions — level 2 is strong for you if Thresh lands E to slow and you follow with Q double-hit.
- Post-6, you hard win if your R is cast from a safe angle after Thresh hooks, as your R shreds both targets simultaneously and Kai'Sa has no reliable escape pre-E upgrade.
Synergy & Trading
- Let Thresh initiate with Q or E, then immediately reposition to a flanking angle and cast R into the locked-down target — your R requires immobility to deal full value, and Nautilus's chain of CC (Q, passive, R) creates exactly that window.
- Avoid extended auto-trade sequences because Kai'Sa's Q passive stacks and W poke will out-sustain you over time.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently with Q harass on Kai'Sa through minions to force her to choose between farming and taking poke — you have better wave clear than Kai'Sa early and can crash waves to deny her passive stack farming.
- Avoid freezing; you want to crash and reset to maintain pressure and deny Nautilus from setting up a freeze-dive scenario.
