Pre-6, you do not win this lane in a straight 2v2 — Alistar's level 2 W+Q is one of the hardest engages in the game and your kit is defensive, not a counter-engage tool.
Post-6, your R becomes a critical equalizer that can cleanse Alistar's full combo, but you must have it available and react instantly, as Caitlyn's R will follow immediately after Alistar's CC.

Your best pattern is to use W to keep Lucian mobile and in range for short trades, then use Q to poke Caitlyn from max range when she steps up — your Q range is meaningful and forces her to respect it.
Save your E specifically for Alistar's W+Q landing on Lucian; using it preemptively on poke damage wastes its primary value in this matchup.

You should not roam early in this matchup — Lucian without a support against Caitlyn and Alistar is extremely vulnerable to a dive or all-in, and your presence is the only thing preventing Alistar from freely engaging.
If you do roam, only do so after a successful recall where the wave is pushing toward Caitlyn and Lucian is safely under tower with enough HP to survive a short trade.

The critical mistake is using your R offensively or too early in a fight — it must be held as a reactive cleanse to Alistar's CC chain, because without it, Alistar's engage into Caitlyn's follow-up kills Lucian before you can do anything.
Positioning too far forward to land Q poke also exposes you to Alistar's W+Q, and you have no escape tool to survive it.
