Who Wins
- Pre-6, your side wins — your Q slow and W blind on Zed combined with your E shield on Zed gives your duo sustained poke and survivability that Caitlyn and Diana cannot match in extended skirmishes.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more volatile because Diana's R is a hard engage that can burst Zed before you react, so you need to pre-emptively W Diana when she lands rather than waiting.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to Q Caitlyn to slow her repositioning, then W Zed when Diana attempts to engage — your E on Zed during his all-in gives him a shield and attack speed steroid that lets him out-trade Caitlyn in short windows.
- Do not use W offensively on Caitlyn unless Zed is already in a winning trade; your W is more valuable as a defensive tool on Zed than as a poke tool.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not roam proactively — your value is entirely tied to keeping Zed alive through Diana's burst and Caitlyn's poke, and leaving Zed alone against Diana post-6 is a death sentence.
- If Zed shoves and recalls, you can look for a brief river ward or a quick mid assist, but only if the wave is fully pushed and Zed is safe.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R on Zed preemptively before Diana has committed her R — if you R Zed too early, Diana simply waits out the knockup and re-engages when Zed has no defensive cooldowns left.
- Your R timing is reactive to Diana's R landing, not proactive, and burning it early is the single biggest mistake you can make in this matchup.
