Pre-6, Lucian+Pyke win most 2v2 trades because Pyke's hook into Lucian's passive double-shot burst is faster and more decisive than your poke setup — you can contest at level 2 if you land Q first but you are not the aggressor here.
Post-6, your R on Yunara during her R window creates a nearly unkillable frontline that Lucian and Pyke cannot burst through, shifting the 2v2 decisively in your favor.

Your best trading pattern is to W Pyke when he steps up to hook, immediately follow with Q to slow both enemies, then let Yunara's Q stacks do work during the extended fight — your job is to prevent the hook from landing cleanly, not to deal damage yourself.
If Pyke is already in his hook animation, prioritize Whimsy on him to interrupt or waste the engage rather than trying to poke Lucian.

Push the wave consistently to deny Pyke roam windows, as a roaming Pyke with early kills snowballs the entire map — your wave clear with Q is decent enough to maintain pressure without overextending.
Avoid freezing because it invites Pyke to walk up for hooks under the threat of tower, which is a losing position for Yunara who lacks escape tools pre-6.

Do not use your R reactively after Yunara is already hooked and being burst — by the time she is in Pyke's combo, the knockup is too late to save her.
Save R proactively when you see Pyke positioning for a hook or when Yunara is stepping up to trade, so the knockup and shield actually prevent the kill rather than react to it.
