Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Zeri win the lane if you can land your E+Q chain on Kai'Sa at level 2, as Nautilus cannot match your burst CC and Zeri's follow-up damage is immediate — however, Nautilus's hook range means you cannot stand too aggressively or you hand him a free engage.
  • Post-6, both supports have strong all-in ultimates, but your R is faster to execute and covers more area, giving you the edge in a simultaneous engage scenario if you land it first.

Synergy & Trading

  • Engage onto Kai'Sa, not Nautilus — Kai'Sa is the damage threat and she has no hard CC to peel for herself, so chaining your E+Q+R onto her forces Nautilus into a reactive position rather than letting him dictate the fight.
  • After your CC chain, Zeri can freely stack damage while the enemy is locked down; do not waste your engage on Nautilus who is built to take hits.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam — your value is entirely in your all-in presence in the bot lane, and leaving Zeri alone against Nautilus's hook threat is extremely dangerous since she has no peel for herself if Nautilus lands a hook.
  • Stay in lane, maintain vision control in the river bushes, and look for all-in opportunities when Kai'Sa is poked below 60% HP.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not engage when Nautilus has his R available and you do not — his R can interrupt your E mid-dash or knock you up before your chain completes, completely reversing the all-in.
  • Additionally, avoid standing in the same bush as Zeri; Nautilus's R hits both of you and a double knock-up into Kai'Sa R is an instant lane loss.
