Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Miss Fortune have a slight edge in short trades due to your E shield and Q poke, but Sylas's level 3 is a genuine kill threat with his chain-root into E dash combo, so respect it.
  • Post-6, your R empowers your kit significantly — RW tether or RE root can set up Miss Fortune's R for a lane-winning play, but Sylas stealing Miss Fortune's R is a hard counter to that plan, so you must be aware of his R cooldown.

Synergy & Trading

  • Use your Q to poke Jinx and Sylas in lane, then when one is low enough, land your E on Miss Fortune to shield her and boost her movement speed, and follow with a RE root to lock down a target for her Q or R.
  • Do not use your W tether offensively unless you are confident Sylas cannot interrupt it with his E dash, as he will break the tether and punish you immediately.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should generally not roam in this matchup because Miss Fortune has no reliable self-peel against Sylas's all-in, and leaving her alone against Sylas and Jinx is a near-guaranteed death.
  • If you do roam, only do so after a successful shove that puts the wave crashing into their tower, and only if Sylas is visibly low or has burned his E.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not waste your E reactively on yourself when Sylas engages — prioritize shielding Miss Fortune if she is the one being dived, as she is the primary damage threat and losing her means losing the fight.
  • Also, avoid standing clustered with Miss Fortune, as Sylas's Q chain and Jinx's W slow will hit both of you simultaneously.
