Who Wins

  • Pre-6, this lane is losing for you — Pyke's E hook into Jhin's W root is a two-hit CC chain that sets up kills before you can reposition, and your lack of mobility means you cannot escape a committed Pyke engage.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a global execute threat that punishes Pyke's roam kills backfiring, but in the 2v2 specifically Jhin's 4th shot burst still threatens you heavily if Nautilus's Q is on cooldown.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to stay behind Nautilus and use your Q minigun to chip Jhin during Nautilus's engage, then switch to rockets only when enemies are at 50%+ HP to maximize your passive damage stacks.
  • Never auto-attack Pyke as your primary target — his W passive healing and E repositioning make him a damage sponge, while Jhin dies faster and cannot reposition.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Play for a slow push with your E traps placed at the lane brushes to deny Pyke his invisible roam path; this forces him to walk through your traps or take the long route, giving your team reaction time.
  • Avoid hard-shoving the wave yourself since you need Nautilus in front of you — a pushed wave without peel puts you in Pyke hook range at the enemy tower.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in a straight line with Nautilus — Jhin's W is a ground-targeted root that hits both of you simultaneously if you cluster, and Pyke's E hook into that setup is a free double-CC combo.
  • Spread laterally so Jhin cannot root both of you with one ability.
