Who Wins
- Pre-6, Jhin + Nautilus wins the 2v2 clearly: Nautilus's hook into your W root is a two-CC chain that Kai'Sa cannot survive at early HP levels, and your fourth shot range exceeds Kai'Sa's effective trade range.
- Post-6, Kai'Sa's R lets her reposition behind you to dodge your W and fourth shot, which shifts kill threat toward her if Pyke is also present.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to let Nautilus hook first, immediately place your W on the hooked target to extend the root duration, then land your fourth shot before Kai'Sa can E away.
- This sequence deals massive burst and forces flash or summoners; do not fire your fourth shot speculatively before Nautilus's hook lands.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Slow-push the wave to create a large minion wave that crashes under their tower, forcing Kai'Sa to take tower damage or lose CS while Nautilus threatens hooks.
- A frozen wave near your tower is also acceptable because it baits Kai'Sa into overextending for CS into Nautilus's hook range.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your W on Pyke when Nautilus is about to hook Kai'Sa — Pyke has built-in CC immunity during his E and will simply dash out of your root.
- Prioritize your W on Kai'Sa every time, because she is the damage threat and has no reliable escape from a full root-into-fourth-shot sequence.
