Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Alistar win this lane because Alistar's level 2 all-in paired with your W root creates a kill combo that Miss Fortune and Pyke cannot reliably escape, and your longer auto-attack range lets you poke safely between Alistar engages.
  • Post-6, you maintain the advantage because your R can finish targets that survive Alistar's combo, and Pyke's R is far more conditional than your setup-execute pattern.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to use your W to root Pyke or Miss Fortune when they step up, immediately signal Alistar to engage, and then land your fourth shot crit on the rooted target for maximum burst.
  • Between all-ins, poke with your passive fourth shot from outside Pyke's hook range — do not stand at medium range where Pyke can hook you into a Miss Fortune Q bounce.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Slow-push the wave when possible to build a large wave that crashes into tower, forcing Miss Fortune to choose between losing CS and overextending; this also denies Pyke roam windows because he cannot leave Miss Fortune alone under that pressure.
  • Avoid freezing unless you have vision of Pyke, because a frozen wave near your tower invites a hook-kill with no escape.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in a straight line with Alistar when Pyke has his hook available — Pyke will hook Alistar through you and the stun will chain onto both of you.
  • Respect Miss Fortune's E passive poke; she deals more damage than she appears to from Q bounces off minions, and underestimating it will put you in execute range for Pyke's R.
