Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the poke war clearly — your range advantage over Miss Fortune and Lulu's shields and poke let you harass freely while Nautilus struggles to close the gap without a clean Q angle.
  • Post-6, you remain favored if you respect Nautilus's R engage range and keep vision of his position, as a caught Caitlyn with no escape is a dead Caitlyn regardless of Lulu's peel.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use your Q to poke Miss Fortune when she steps up to CS, place E traps at chokepoints to punish Nautilus's approach path, and auto-attack with headshot procs to whittle them down before any all-in is possible.
  • When Nautilus commits his Q, immediately step back and let Lulu peel — do not try to fight in close range.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Maintain a slow push or slight freeze near your tower to maximize your range advantage and deny Nautilus easy hook angles — a frozen wave forces them to walk up into your trap zones and gives Lulu more time to react to engages.
  • Avoid hard shoving into their tower as it shortens the lane and lets Nautilus Q from brush with reduced reaction time.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand in predictable straight lines that let Nautilus Q you from fog of war or brush — his hook has long range and if it lands on you without Lulu's W available, you will likely die.
  • Always track Nautilus's position before committing to CS or poke, and never let him disappear into a brush without warding it.
