Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have a range advantage over Tristana at levels 1–2 and can poke her freely before she reaches level 2 E, but once Tristana hits level 2 and can E onto you, your advantage shrinks significantly because Nautilus hook into Tristana E is a kill combo you cannot outrun.
- Post-6, you lose the all-in because Nautilus R into Tristana R creates a CC chain that locks you in place while Tristana's burst deletes you, so you must play for poke wins before that point.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to use traps on chokepoints to deter Nautilus from walking up to hook, then poke Tristana with autos and Q from max range — if Nautilus is trapped or slowed, Braum can stack passive and you can headshot Tristana for meaningful damage.
- Never commit to a full trade unless Nautilus is CC'd or out of position, because his hook is the primary threat to your positioning.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave early to deny Tristana cannon minions, since she scales hard off gold and you want to starve her lead — use your range advantage to shove and force them under tower where Nautilus hook angles are more predictable.
- Avoid freezing near their tower because that gives Nautilus free hook angles with terrain cover.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not step forward to last-hit when Nautilus is in hook range and unwarded — his hook range is long enough to punish any greedy positioning, and one successful hook into Tristana E is likely a flash or death.
- Respect the hook threat and sacrifice CS if necessary rather than giving them a kill that snowballs Tristana.
