Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the lane with Jhin: your E blocks Kai'Sa's Q entirely, your passive stacks apply through auto-attacks and Jhin's W, and the level 2 all-in with E into passive stun is stronger than anything Thresh can set up at that stage.
  • Post-6, Thresh's R box changes the dynamic — if Thresh lands Q into R, you must use E immediately to protect Jhin from Kai'Sa's R follow-up.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to walk onto Kai'Sa aggressively to force her to back off or take passive stacks, then use E only when Jhin is ready to commit — saving E as a reactive block against Thresh's Q is often more valuable than using it offensively.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam: your value is entirely in protecting Jhin from Kai'Sa's dive and blocking Thresh's hooks, and leaving Jhin alone against Kai'Sa + Thresh is an immediate death sentence given Kai'Sa's R mobility.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use E preemptively to block Kai'Sa's W poke — W is a long-range ability and burning E for it leaves Jhin completely unprotected against Thresh's Q, which is the primary kill tool you need to respect.
