LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the lane — your range advantage with most weapon combinations, especially Calibrum, lets you poke Kai'Sa and Nautilus without being in hook range, and Zyra's plants add sustained damage that punishes any aggression.
- Post-6, the lane becomes more dangerous because Kai'Sa's R lets her close the gap instantly onto you, and Nautilus's R can chain into a full kill combo before Zyra's plants can save you.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to use Calibrum's long-range Q to stack marks on Nautilus from outside hook range, then follow up with a secondary weapon auto to proc the mark — this lets you deal damage without ever entering Nautilus's engagement zone.
- When Zyra plants are active, trade aggressively because the combined damage forces Kai'Sa and Nautilus to back off or die.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Play for a slow wave or a freeze near your tower — a frozen wave forces Nautilus to overextend to hook you, which is risky for him, and denies Kai'Sa the stacks she needs to evolve her abilities.
- Avoid shoving the wave into their tower, as that gives Nautilus free roam opportunities and lets Kai'Sa farm safely under tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Nautilus get within hook range by standing too close to the minion wave — his Q range is deceptively long and one hook onto you with Kai'Sa's R follow-up is a guaranteed death.
- Respect the level 6 power spike of Kai'Sa specifically and position further back than feels necessary.
