Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Draven wins the 2v2 almost unconditionally — his level 1 auto-attack damage with spinning axes far exceeds what you output with any starting weapon, and Vel'Koz's poke compounds the pressure.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a meaningful teamfight tool, but Draven's R can execute you before it resolves, so you do not suddenly flip the lane at 6.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to use Gravitum (purple) to root Draven when he repositions to catch axes, then swap to Infernum (flame) for AoE splash damage onto both enemies — but this requires Bard to engage simultaneously, as you cannot initiate safely alone.
  • Avoid extended trades; your goal is burst-and-disengage, not sustained fighting.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You need to push the wave consistently when holding Infernum to maximize splash damage and deny Draven easy axe-catching positions near the wave.
  • A slow-pushed wave forces Draven to choose between catching axes in dangerous positions or losing them, which is one of your few real levers in this lane.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand still to auto-attack in this lane — Vel'Koz's Q and E will punish any predictable positioning, and Draven's axes mean every trade he initiates is front-loaded with massive damage.
  • Repositioning constantly is mandatory, not optional.
