LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most exchanges because your range and plant damage let you poke Aatrox before he can land his Q sweet spots, and he has no reliable gap-close to punish you if you respect his E dash range.
- Post-6, your R gives you a meaningful power spike with more plants and CC layering, but Aatrox's R sustain and AD steroid make extended fights increasingly dangerous — you need to burst him before his healing takes over.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to root him with E first, then immediately place Q on top of the rooted target to spawn two plants that deal sustained damage while he's locked down.
- Never trade into his Q animations without your E available, because he can dash through your plants and land a sweet-spot knock-up that completely flips the trade in his favor.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with Q and plants to deny Aatrox the slow, controlled pace he needs to land his Q pattern on you.
- If you let the wave sit in the middle of the lane, he has space to walk up and practice his Q combo; shoving forces him to farm under tower where his Q hitboxes are harder to use and he loses CS.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still after placing your E root expecting it to do all the work — Aatrox can walk out of the chain zone before it pulls if you don't follow up immediately, and a missed W pull means he takes no damage and can retaliate freely.
- Also avoid overextending for poke when his W is up, because one successful pull into his Q sweet spot at level 3 or beyond can delete a large portion of your health bar.
