Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q, but Zed can all-in you if you waste E or position poorly.
- Post-6 Zed wins the 1v1 decisively as R allows him to gap close through your E and burst you before you can respond.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is E into Q combo when Zed uses W aggressively or goes for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his retaliation.
- Never try to extended trade as his passive and energy-based kit gives him sustained damage advantage.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with Q to establish priority, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower once Zed hits 6.
- You want to avoid being in the middle of the lane where Zed can R-W for maximum shadow positioning.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use E defensively unless Zed has already committed his R, as he can simply wait it out with his mobility.
- Don't greed for Q poke when your E is on cooldown, as this is when Zed will look for his all-in windows.
