LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win this lane clearly through levels 1–3 by using W to create shadow pressure and trading with Q poke that Sylas cannot safely answer at range; Sylas has no reliable way to punish your shadow positioning early and his sustain requires him to actually land abilities on you.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes genuinely dangerous because Sylas can steal your R and execute the same burst pattern back at you, so you must kill him before he reaches 6 or maintain a significant lead.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to place W behind or to the side of Sylas, throw Q through him, then E to your shadow to reposition and auto-attack for the mark proc, retreating before he can land E to close the gap.
- Never commit to a full all-in unless his E is on cooldown, as that is the only tool that lets him stick to you and sustain through your burst.
Wave Control
- You want to create a slow push or freeze near your side of the lane to deny Sylas the ability to safely walk up and trade, forcing him to either take poke or lose CS.
- Avoid hard shoving into his tower repeatedly, as that gives him a safe wave to farm and sustain up while you lose pressure.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R carelessly after level 6 just to secure a kill, because if Sylas survives with any HP, he immediately has access to your R and can use it to either kill you or escape with your own mobility.
- Always confirm the kill is secured before committing R, and respect that a failed R attempt essentially hands him your win condition.
