- You win levels 1-3 through W-E-Q combos that Karthus cannot effectively answer due to his immobility and lack of burst.
- At level 6, you dominate the 1v1 as your R allows you to dodge his Q damage while delivering lethal burst damage before his passive becomes relevant.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is W-E-Q when Karthus steps up for CS or Q poke, then immediately return to your W shadow to avoid extended trades.
- Save your W for trades rather than waveclear, as Karthus cannot punish you when this ability is available.
Wave Control
- Allow Karthus to push early waves while you farm safely, then freeze the wave near your tower once you have combat advantage at level 3-4.
- This forces him to overextend for CS, setting up easy W-E-Q trades or all-ins with jungle assistance.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste your W shadow for waveclear when Karthus is in lane, as this removes your primary trading and escape tool.
- Avoid extended trades in minion waves where his Q spam can chunk you down over time while you're locked in combat.
