Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 due to Zed's superior mobility and all-in potential with W-E-Q combos that you cannot effectively trade back against.
- At level 6, you still lose the 1v1 as Zed's R allows him to dodge your Q damage and burst you before your passive can be effective.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use Q from maximum range when Zed goes for CS, then immediately back away to avoid his W-E-Q retaliation.
- Focus on poking with Q when his W is on cooldown, as this is your only window where he cannot gap close and out-trade you.
Wave Control
- Push waves early with Q to force Zed to farm under tower and limit his roaming potential, but transition to freezing near your tower once he hits level 6.
- This forces him to overextend for CS while keeping you safe from his all-in potential and jungle ganks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your W aggressively to slow Zed during trades as it leaves you completely vulnerable to his mobility spells.
- Avoid standing in minion waves where his Q can hit both you and minions for waveclear while dealing damage to you.
