LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose short trades to Sylas because his W healing and passive shield absorb your early damage before your Determination stacks provide meaningful AD.
- At level 3 you can start winning extended fights if you land W pull first to prevent him from E-ing away, but you need stacks built from earlier poke to have the AD advantage that makes the extended trade favorable.
How to Trade
- Open with W to pull Sylas into you and deny his E escape, then immediately use Q twice to deal damage and proc the knockup, keeping him locked in melee range where your Determination bonus AD matters most.
- Never use E to initiate — save it as a repositioning tool to stay on top of him if he tries to disengage after your W pull, since losing melee contact lets him heal safely with Q.
Wave Control
- Play for slow pushes and extended lane presence rather than hard shoving, because your passive stacks require repeated champion interactions and a frozen or slow-pushed wave gives you more opportunities to trade and stack Determination.
- Avoid letting Sylas shove you under tower early — his wave clear is strong and tower-hugging removes your ability to safely land W at the range needed to pull him in.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not treat your revive passive as a guaranteed second life that lets you all-in recklessly — a competent Sylas will recognize the stasis window and simply wait the 4 seconds with his E ready to re-engage the moment you revive, finishing you with whatever cooldowns have refreshed.
- Use the revive as a safety net for fights you calculated correctly, not as a reason to take fights you are losing.
