Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you lose the 2v2 because Nautilus Q into root chain gives Hwei a free full combo and you have no escape tool; Karma's shield helps but does not negate the CC chain, so you must play far enough back that Nautilus cannot hook you.
  • Post-6, if you have R active you gain a dash that lets you reposition or escape hooks, and your sustained DPS during R significantly outscales Hwei's burst window, making extended fights favorable for you.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to use W to slow Nautilus before he can walk into Q range, then activate Q for attack speed and use the splash to hit both enemies while staying at max auto range; never let Nautilus get within hook range without your R dash available.
  • During R, your W becomes a laser with heavy slow that you can use to kite Nautilus backward while your Q splash continuously damages both enemies.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave with Q active to clear quickly and deny Hwei safe positioning, but do not shove so hard that you lose vision and get hooked in the river; a slight slow push toward their tower is fine once you have R available as your dash gives you an escape.
  • Pre-6, play a passive farm pattern and only take short auto trades when Nautilus is clearly out of hook range.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not activate R reactively after Nautilus has already hooked you — your R dash requires you to already be in R state, so you must anticipate the hook and either have R active preemptively or stay far enough back that the hook cannot reach you.
  • Using R as a panic button after the CC chain starts is too late and wastes your strongest tool.
