Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Cassiopeia's sustained poison damage from her E spam combined with her range advantage makes short trades heavily unfavorable for you; she will consistently outdamage you if she lands her Q before you engage.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a meaningful all-in window, but her W ground and E spam will shred you during the extended fight unless you can burst her quickly with Q-Q-E-R.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to use your Q dash to close distance, immediately chain into your second Q and E before she can stack poison ticks on you, then disengage with your passive soul form to avoid her sustained E damage.
  • Avoid extended fights entirely — you want short, explosive trades where you exit before her E spam accumulates.

Wave Control

  • You want to push the wave and force her to farm under tower, which reduces her ability to freely poke you with Q and E; her waveclear is decent but not exceptional, so a fast-pushed wave limits her poke windows.
  • Avoid slow-pushing or letting the wave sit in the middle of the lane, as that gives her the ideal range to harass you with minimal risk.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk into her W poison cloud to engage — it will massively amplify her E damage and make any trade catastrophically one-sided against you.
  • Many Yone players also mistakenly use R when she has her W active on the ground, which roots them in the damage zone and negates the burst advantage the R was supposed to create.
