Who Wins
- You dominate levels 1-3 with your mobility, passive shield, and ability to stick to Ryze in extended trades.
- At level 6, you lose the advantage as Ryze's ultimate gives him guaranteed burst damage and crowd control that you cannot windwall or easily escape.
How to Trade
- You should look for short Q pokes when your passive shield is up, then dash away through minions to avoid retaliation.
- When Ryze uses his spells on minions, immediately engage with E-Q combo and auto attacks while his abilities are on cooldown.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze the wave near your tower to create a long lane where you can run Ryze down with your dashes.
- Avoid pushing unless you can guarantee a recall timing, as Ryze will outscale you in teamfights if he gets ahead.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You must never use Wind Wall preemptively against Ryze, as he can bait it out with basic attacks then follow up with his full combo.
- Avoid fighting when you don't have minions nearby for mobility, as Ryze can easily kite you in open spaces.
