Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 as Yasuo dashes through minions to close gaps and out-trades with passive shield and Q poke - focus on surviving and farming safely.
- Post-6 you still lose as his R provides lethal combat ultimate while yours is macro/repositioning only - his Q3 knock-up into R with ignite creates high kill threat you cannot answer.
How to Trade
- Remove his passive shield with auto-attack first, then land short E-Q combos when it's down and immediately back off to avoid extended trades.
- Watch ranged minion HP carefully - Yasuo players wait for low HP ranged minions to E gap-close through them, so respect this threat and position accordingly.
Wave Control
- Freeze wave on your side to limit Yasuo's E dash plays - using E towards you puts him dangerously close to your tower with no escape.
- If he roams, hard shove and hit tower to punish his absence - don't try to match roams as his combat power and mobility are superior.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste E-W root when his Wind Wall is available, as it completely negates your burst and leaves you vulnerable to his all-in retaliation.
- Avoid fighting in large minion waves where he dashes freely and stacks Q tornado - consider running Exhaust summoner to survive his all-ins both in lane and teamfights.
