LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose to Gangplank at level 1 due to his Q range and passive barrel setup punishing your approach; at level 3 you gain meaningful all-in threat with E-Q-E patterns, but his W removes your tornado CC and his Q poke still chips you down before you can commit.
- Post-6, you have a strong all-in window if you can land a tornado into R, but his W will cancel your R knockup if he uses it reactively, and his barrels provide enough burst to kill you if you're not at high HP.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use minions and your E to dash in, stack your Q to tornado, then immediately E out to avoid his Q retaliation; short trades where you land a tornado and disengage are your safest approach since extended fights favor him due to his W negating your key CC and his passive healing sustaining him.
- Never commit to a full trade unless his W is on cooldown.
Wave Control
- You want to push the wave consistently to deny him barrel setup time under tower, as barrels placed freely in a slow wave give him free poke and zone control; a fast-pushed wave forces him to last-hit under pressure and limits his ability to stack barrels for all-in setups.
- Avoid freezing since a frozen wave near his tower lets him barrel freely without risk.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not dash onto him when his W is available, as it will remove your tornado knockup and leave you in melee range with no CC and no escape, which is a death sentence if he has barrels set up nearby.
- Respect his barrel chains — dashing through a barrel chain to reach him often means you take the full explosion before you can deal meaningful damage.
