Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have a level 2 spike if Thresh lands Q and you immediately E onto the target into Q knockup, but Braum's W blocks your E dash path if he positions correctly, and his passive stacks make extended trades dangerous for you.
- Post-6, your R off Thresh Q is your win condition, but Braum R counters it directly if he reacts in time, so you only reliably win post-6 on a surprise hook onto Smolder.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to wait for Thresh Q to connect, dash in with E, use Q to knockup, and immediately R — the entire combo should happen within 2 seconds to prevent Braum from body-blocking or using R.
- Never auto-attack Braum repeatedly as his passive stacks extremely fast on you given your attack speed, leading to an early stun that reverses the trade.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want a slow push or freeze near your side to force Smolder to overextend for CS, giving Thresh better hook angles; avoid shoving blindly as Braum excels at protecting a pushed-up Smolder under tower.
- Your wave clear with Q is decent but don't spam it purely for wave clear — save it for the knockup setup.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not dash onto Braum with your E — his W will block the dash and he will immediately stack passive on you, and his R can knock you up before you complete your combo.
- Your shield from W is your only defensive tool, so track Braum's R cooldown and never commit to a full all-in when it is available.
