Pre-6 you win this matchup at levels 1-3 through your E knock-up into Q three-hit combo with W healing sustaining you through his passive aura; you should look for short aggressive trades, disengage before his passive fully ticks, and deny him the extended fight he needs.
Post-6 you lose the 1v1 if he lands R on you, as the stat steal combined with his passive aura and Q in an isolated environment removes your ability to disengage and punishes your reliance on AD which he partially steals.

Your best trading pattern is to engage with E to knock him up, immediately use Q to apply the three-hit empowered attack, activate W for healing mid-trade, then disengage before his passive aura deals significant sustained damage — short trades heavily favor you because you deal burst and recover while he needs time to stack and proc his passive.
Never let the trade extend beyond your initial combo window, as his W shield into heal and passive aura will overtake your damage output the longer the fight goes.

You want to deny him a stable wave to farm safely by using your early level advantage to force him off CS and create short aggressive trades, but avoid hard shoving the wave because a pushed wave gives him a safe environment to stack passive and poke you with Q from range.
If you can get jungle assistance pre-6, look to dive or zone him under tower where his limited mobility makes him easy to pin down with your E.
