Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win decisively once you land E to close the gap — Lux has no reliable escape and your Q's three-hit knockup combined with W slow makes her unable to disengage after you're on top of her.
- Post-6, your R's knockback actually becomes a liability if misused, but your overall burst and sustained damage in a locked-down fight still favors you heavily since Lux cannot survive extended melee range.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to absorb one or two poke abilities from Lux at range, then E in when her Q or E is on cooldown — she has no mobility to escape and your W heal partially offsets her poke damage.
- Once in melee range, stack Q's three-hit passive quickly and use R to prevent her from walking away, not as an opener.
Wave Control
- Push the wave aggressively to deny Lux her preferred poke range — when she's forced to last-hit under pressure, she cannot freely throw Q and E at you.
- A fast-pushed wave also forces her to choose between taking tower damage and walking up into your engage range.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk into her Q-E combo at full health thinking you can tank it — Lux's burst at range before you close the gap is real damage, and getting hit by both before your E lands means you're trading from a deficit.
- Respect her poke window, wait for a cooldown, then commit fully rather than half-engaging.
