Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Sona lose the 2v2 against Caitlyn + Kai'Sa because Caitlyn's range advantage and Kai'Sa's early burst outpace your slow Q setup and Sona's low base damage; post-6, your R gives you a meaningful threat window but Kai'Sa's R engage on Sona can still collapse the lane before you land enough poke.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to root Caitlyn with your E from max range, then land a fully charged Q and follow with W; never initiate without the E landing first, as your immobility makes you extremely vulnerable to Kai'Sa diving you after a missed ability.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently with Q to force Caitlyn under tower, reducing her ability to auto-harass you freely; a shoved wave also gives you time to poke safely from behind minions without being all-in'd by Kai'Sa's passive stacks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still to charge your Q at close range — Kai'Sa will stack her passive on you and Caitlyn will headshot you simultaneously, and your lack of mobility means you cannot escape the follow-up trade.
