Who Wins
- Pre-6, Urgot wins most exchanges due to his W passive reducing your damage, his E slow making it hard to disengage, and his consistent ranged poke with Q.
- Post-6, you gain a meaningful power spike with your R knockup combo, but Urgot's R can execute you if you drop below the threshold, so the 1v1 remains contested and you should only all-in when ahead in HP.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use E to dash in, immediately pop W to bait out Urgot's E or Q, then re-engage with Q armor shred and auto-attacks during his cooldown window.
- Never extend a trade when his W is active — his passive damage reduction and shotgun knees will out-sustain your burst if you stay in melee range too long.
Wave Control
- Push the wave early to force Urgot under tower, where his Q poke is less safe and his E slow becomes harder to leverage in tight spaces.
- Once you hit level 6, look to freeze near your tower to bait him forward for an all-in R combo, as he is vulnerable to being caught extended without his E up.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your W clone as a pure escape tool without first confirming Urgot's E is on cooldown — he will slow the clone's path prediction and re-engage on the real you.
- Avoid letting him stack his Q on you from range without trading back; passive poke will drain your HP before you can all-in effectively.
