Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively — your E flip disrupts her W positioning, your passive regeneration outpaces her healing in short trades, and she cannot stack enough Q snips before you burst her down.
  • From level 6, your sure win condition is landing E flip before she activates W, then immediately chaining R to proc the lightning strike, as this forces her to burn W reactively or take massive damage before she can establish her extended trade pattern.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Gwen typically starts on the buff opposite to her bot lane to path efficiently, then looks to clear toward scuttle around level 3 while avoiding early invades due to her weak pre-6 dueling in short skirmishes.
  • She will often prioritize farming a full clear to reach level 6 quickly rather than contesting early, so expect her to concede scuttle if you arrive with health advantage.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Gwen at her second buff around 3:15-3:30 if you have cleared efficiently, as she is vulnerable between camps and cannot use W to escape a direct chase in open jungle paths.
  • Target her red buff on blue side or blue buff on red side depending on her start, arriving when she is low from clearing to force a fight she cannot win or burn her flash.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk into her W zone after she has activated it — she becomes untargetable from outside and will stack Q snips freely while your abilities whiff, turning a winning fight into a losing extended trade.
  • Avoid letting her reach 40% of your max HP in damage dealt, as her passive healing becomes significant enough to sustain her through your damage output in prolonged fights even without W.
