LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you are at a disadvantage in short trades because Vex's passive fear interrupts your W stacking and her E into W combo outdamages your Q shield mitigation at early levels, particularly at level 3 when she has her full basic combo available.
- Post-6 the matchup shifts in your favor because your R creates a persistent zone that punishes Vex's tendency to stand still during her own R engage, and your E augment aftershock deals a second damage instance that she cannot avoid by simply walking away.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to place W in her likely movement path before committing with E, forcing her to either take the stun or burn her passive shield dodging the field, then follow with Q Discharge and E augment aftershock for a two-wave damage trade she cannot match.
- Never initiate by walking toward her without W already on the ground, as she will simply E into W fear you before you can establish gravity field stacks.
Wave Control
- You need to prioritize last-hitting safely over aggressive poke early, as Hex Fragment accumulation from minions is your primary power source and dying or being zoned off farm delays your augments more than any single trade outcome.
- Once you have E augmented, your wave clear improves substantially with the aftershock, allowing you to shove and roam or reset without falling behind on fragments.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not place your R on top of Vex when she has her R available, as she will use it to dash through your storm and fear you mid-cast, completely wasting your ultimate and leaving you stunned in your own zone.
- Additionally, avoid stacking W on Vex when her passive shield is active — she will intentionally absorb the stacks with the shield active and then reposition before you reach the stun threshold, wasting your setup.
