Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most extended trades due to your range advantage and the shield from Q combined with Discharge empowered autos — Nasus has no reliable gap-close and his Q is a single-target melee auto that does nothing to you at range.
- However, if Nasus runs Ghost or you misposition near a wall where he can walk up freely, a full W stack into Q combo at level 3 can chunk you hard, so respect his all-in potential even if you're favored.
How to Trade
- Post-6, you retain the advantage but Nasus becomes increasingly dangerous as his Q stacks accumulate — your R is a strong zoning tool but it doesn't burst him down fast enough to ignore his scaling, and a Nasus with 200+ stacks and Sheen will kill you in seconds if you let him walk up.
- You need to use your lead to deny stacks aggressively rather than assume your R alone wins fights.
Wave Control
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with E from max range to chip his health, then follow up with Q shield into Discharge when he tries to last-hit — this forces him to either take free damage or miss stacks, both of which are wins for you.
- Avoid extended melee-range trades where his Q reset and raw AD can overwhelm your burst; keep fights short, ranged, and on your terms.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Push the wave consistently to deny him stacking time under tower, but don't shove mindlessly into his tower without vision — Nasus mid is a gank magnet and you're vulnerable when overextended.
- Prioritize your own Hex Fragment farming by securing cannon minions and looking for roam opportunities once you have E augmented, since your mid-game power spike matters more than winning every single trade.
