Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose this lane — Viktor outranges you significantly, his E poke is consistent, and his Q shield absorbs your all-in damage while his Discharge punishes you for walking up.
- Your only meaningful spike is level 3 with Ghost, where you can potentially force a trade if Viktor is poorly positioned, but a competent Viktor will simply back off and resume poking.
How to Trade
- Post-6, you don't suddenly win the lane either — Viktor's R creates a persistent damage zone that punishes you for standing still to stack, and his W can stun you inside it for a near-guaranteed kill.
- Your win condition is surviving to 200–300 stacks and forcing Viktor to respect your side-lane threat, not killing him in lane.
Wave Control
- Your best trading pattern is to use W on Viktor when he walks up to last-hit, then close the gap and land Q — the slow from W makes it harder for him to kite, and a full Q stack stun into your Q is your highest-damage window.
- Don't try to trade into his E poke repeatedly; absorb one or two pokes with your passive lifesteal and wait for a moment where he overextends or wastes his W.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Stack Q on every cannon and siege minion you can reach, even if it means taking poke — missing stacks on high-value minions is a larger long-term loss than taking 15% of your HP in chip damage.
- Avoid pushing the wave aggressively since Viktor will simply shove back faster and deny you stacking time; instead, let waves crash into you so you can stack safely under tower pressure.
