LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the direct scuttle fight against Hecarim if he engages with E, because his movement speed advantage and Q AoE damage outpace your W healing and Q poke at that stage — only contest scuttle if you have a significant HP advantage or lane priority from a nearby ally.
- From level 6, you can win a 1v1 by baiting his E with W slow, letting him overcommit, then trading with Q poke and W healing sustained damage; if you secure a kill or assist nearby, your R possession can effectively give you a second health bar to finish the fight.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Hecarim typically starts Red Buff and paths Red → Raptors → Wolves → Blue → Gromp, or the reverse, aiming for a fast level 3 scuttle contest.
- He will look to gank aggressively post-level 3 using E through walls, and from level 6 he becomes a constant threat to any lane with his R engage, so expect him to prioritize ganking pushed lanes and snowballing early leads.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Hecarim early in standard conditions, as his E and Q burst will kill you in his own jungle where he has camp aggro advantage.
- If you must invade, wait until after he has ganked and used E (approximately 4:30–5:00), then enter his jungle from the opposite side to steal a camp or catch him low — a direct 1v1 invade before level 6 is a losing proposition unless Hecarim is significantly low on HP.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Hecarim freely stack Q on you in a prolonged fight — his Q has very low cooldown and each stack increases his damage, so if you are not killing him quickly with burst you will lose the extended trade.
- Avoid positioning in narrow jungle corridors where his E can pin you against terrain, as you have no dash to escape and his movement speed makes running away nearly impossible once he has engaged.
