Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 due to Anivia's superior range and Q-E combo damage, but the matchup becomes more skill-based post-6 when your R gives you kill threat.
- Your level 2 Q-W combo can chunk her, but she outranges and outtrades you consistently in extended fights.
How to Trade
- Look for Q poke when she uses abilities on minions, then immediately back off to avoid her Q-E retaliation.
- Your best trades come from landing W when she's animation-locked during her own spell casts, following up with Q-R if she's low enough.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with Q to stack AP and force her to use mana clearing, then look to freeze when you have item advantages.
- Avoid slow-pushing into her as she can easily clear large waves with R-E and set up ganks with her wall.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't get caught in extended trades where she can auto-attack you repeatedly between spell rotations.
- Never use your E defensively unless absolutely necessary, as losing your only escape tool makes you extremely vulnerable to her Q-wall combo and jungle ganks.
