Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly — Viktor has no reliable escape, his W is telegraphed and slow to stack, and your passive movement speed lets you sidestep it while stacking Silver Bolts; at level 3 you can all-in him if he's mispositioned since your E into wall stun is a kill threat he cannot match.
- Post-6 the matchup becomes more dangerous because his R forces you to respect the storm's area and his augmented E deals significant burst, but you still win if you use your Q dash to dodge his E laser and avoid standing in his R.
How to Trade
- Your best trade pattern is to bait his W placement, dodge it with Q or lateral movement, then close the gap and stack Silver Bolts while weaving autos — if you can proc three stacks without him landing W stun, you win the trade decisively.
- Use your E to knock him into a wall when he tries to disengage or when he's channeling his combo, as the stun completely shuts down his ability to retaliate.
Wave Control
- Play for short, aggressive trades rather than letting Viktor farm safely and stack Hex Fragments — every time he reaches a new augment threshold (especially E augment which adds the aftershock explosion), your window to kill him before he becomes a zoning threat shrinks.
- Apply constant pressure to deny him minions and force him off the wave, because a Viktor who is behind on fragments is significantly weaker than his level suggests.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still while his E is traveling — the augmented E aftershock explodes along the path one second later, and players frequently dodge the initial beam only to walk back into the explosion.
- Also avoid fighting inside his R once it's fully grown late game; the damage-over-time combined with his W stun is enough to kill you even with your mobility if you overstay.
