Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly, especially at level 2 when you have both E and W online — his Q can be interrupted by your E mid-dash, and your W true damage means his sustain from Meditate is largely irrelevant against your damage type.
- Post-6 the matchup becomes more dangerous because his R dramatically compresses the kill window, but you still have the tools to win if you respect his burst and keep your E off cooldown.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait his Q by walking toward him briefly, then E him away the moment he commits — follow up with autos to stack W, and if he tries to Meditate, you can freely stack W further since he is stationary and you out-damage his healing at most points in the game.
Wave Control
- Play for a slow push or freeze near your tower early, as this denies him the ability to all-in you with Q without tower threat and forces him to walk up into your range — a freeze also prevents him from roaming or resetting freely, keeping him in a lane where you have the advantage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your E aggressively or use it to reposition carelessly — if your E is on cooldown when he activates R and Q's onto you, you have no reliable way to create distance and he will likely kill you before you can stack enough W damage to turn the fight.
