Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose this lane convincingly.
- Vayne's E knockback interrupts your Q mid-animation, her W true damage shreds your health, and you have no reliable way to stick to her while she kites with auto-attack resets — post-6, your R gives you enough burst and attack speed to potentially kill her in a short window, but she can still E you away and her R makes her nearly invisible, making it very difficult to finish the trade.
How to Trade
- Your only viable trading pattern is to wait for her to misposition or waste her E, then immediately Q onto her and chain autos with R active — if she has E available, any extended trade heavily favors her because she will stack W passively while you take full damage.
Wave Control
- Push the wave as fast as possible to force her under tower, since she is a weak early laner who struggles to CS under pressure — however, be cautious about diving her because her E can knock you into the tower, and tower shots during your R are still lethal.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight her in an open lane with E available and no cooldown advantage on your side — her E interrupting your Q is not just an inconvenience, it completely resets your damage window and leaves you exposed to her W stacking while you have no gap-close available.
