Who Wins
- Kai'Sa wins pre-6 due to superior range, Q poke, and Maokai's E bush control limiting your positioning.
- Post-6 you gain kill pressure with R stealth resets if you can dodge Maokai's W engage.
Synergy & Trading
- Wait for Nautilus Q hook to land, then Q forward for aggressive positioning and E condemn into wall for the stun combo.
- Focus short trades using Q stealth to avoid Kai'Sa's extended Q volleys and Maokai E follow-up.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push early levels to hit 6 first and deny Maokai's E bush setup, then look to freeze near your tower where walls enable E condemn plays.
- Avoid slow pushing mid-game as it gives Maokai free E poke and zone control.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never Q forward without Nautilus abilities available as you'll be isolated against two champions with gap closers.
- Don't try to trade when Maokai has E charges in nearby bushes as the slow makes you vulnerable to Kai'Sa's full combo.
