Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win short trades if you land your E onto him and immediately auto-attack before he can pool with W, but he sustains back quickly with Q, making extended trades risky unless you have fury stacked; post-6, your R makes you nearly unkillable during its duration and you can all-in him if he has no pool available, but he can simply W your R window and wait it out, then heal back, making the kill difficult unless he is already low.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to E onto him when his W is on cooldown, stack fury with autos, then back off before he can pool and reset the trade; never commit to a long trade unless his W is confirmed down, as his sustain will outlast your damage output over time.

Wave Control

  • You want to push the wave hard and force him under tower, because he cannot freely use Q to sustain when he has to last-hit under pressure; denying him free Q casts limits his sustain and forces him to take poke or lose CS, which is your primary way to build a lead.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R as a pure defensive tool and then walk away — if you pop R and he simply W pools, you waste your entire ultimate with no kill pressure; always confirm his W is on cooldown before committing your R to an all-in, otherwise you trade your win condition for nothing.
