Who Wins

  • You lose short trades pre-6 to her mobility and burst, but win at level 2-3 if you can land Q and zone with W.
  • Post-6 you dominate all-ins with R stealing her stats, making her squishy while you become tankier.

How to Trade

  • Look for extended trades using Q to reduce her damage output, then chase with W movement speed and healing.
  • Save your E to cut off her escape routes rather than using it for engage, as good Rivens will E away from your initial approach.

Wave Control

  • Let her push early then freeze near your tower, using your sustain advantage to stay healthy while she takes minion damage.
  • Once you have W, you can contest her pushes by running her down in the minion wave.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste your pillar trying to interrupt her Q combos as good Rivens will animation cancel through it.
  • Never chase without W active as she'll kite you easily with her mobility, and avoid fighting when significantly behind in items as her burst can kill you before R provides value.
