Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win at level 1 with your range advantage, but Rumble's W gives him enough sustain and his passive heat mechanic means he can trade back harder than expected if you let him stack damage; post-6, your R gives you kill threat and disengage, but Rumble's R is a game-changing zoning tool that can completely negate your all-in if he places it well between you and him.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use your E to proc the passive explosive charge stacks by auto-attacking from max range, then Q to reposition or chase if he's low, never standing still long enough for him to overheat and dump his full combo on you at close range.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with your range advantage to deny Rumble farm under tower, where his melee-range flamethrower becomes less efficient; however, avoid shoving so hard that you create a freeze situation near his tower, as that removes your ability to punish him and puts you in danger of his all-in with no escape route.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not underestimate Rumble's overheated W healing and his ability to run you down with E slow combined with overheat auto-attacks — standing in his E slow while he's overheated is one of the fastest ways to die in this lane despite your range advantage.
