Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Caitlyn's superior range (650 vs 550 base) and Yuumi's W-attached healing make this lane heavily favored for the enemy — you cannot reliably all-in or trade extended without taking poke damage and being out-sustained.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a knockback to interrupt Yuumi's attachment and a burst combo, but Caitlyn's R and Yuumi's R still make a straight 2v2 dangerous unless you have a significant lead.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to wait for Malphite's E+Q slow to land, then immediately E onto Caitlyn to stack your passive and force her off the wave — do not engage without Malphite initiating first, as Caitlyn will simply kite you back with her range advantage.
  • Short burst trades are your tool; never commit to extended fights where Yuumi's healing negates your damage over time.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave aggressively when safe to do so, because a shoved wave denies Caitlyn her trap-under-tower setup and forces Yuumi to stay in lane rather than roam — your W passive attack speed lets you clear faster than Caitlyn in short windows.
  • Avoid freezing; a frozen wave near their tower is a death trap for you given Caitlyn's range and Yuumi's peel.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not E onto Caitlyn when Yuumi is attached and has her E shield ready, as you will deal reduced damage, take a headshot proc, and be unable to escape cleanly.
  • Jumping in without Malphite's CC already landing means Caitlyn simply walks back and you absorb a headshot and Yuumi damage for nothing.
