Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades when you land Q, as your all-in potential with E and ignite outdamages Nami's W sustain.
- Post-6 you maintain advantage since your R provides more lockdown than Nami's R knockup, especially if Varus follows up with R.
Synergy & Trading
- Look for Q hooks when Jhin is CSing or reloading, then immediately E backwards to pull him closer for Varus to follow up with E-Q combo.
- Your W can shield Varus from Nami's W-E poke and provide escape if the trade goes poorly.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should roam frequently after level 6, especially when Varus has wave control or recalls.
- Optimal timings are when bot wave is pushing toward enemy tower and your ADC is safe, or after successful recalls when you have mobility boots.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste Q on minions when enemies are in range, as Jhin-Nami will immediately punish with W-E enhanced autos and Q bounces.
- Missing Q in this matchup means 10+ seconds of vulnerability to their superior poke damage.
