Scuttle Contest

At level 3, you win the scuttle fight if you land your Q blind before Talon can gap-close, as his burst requires stacking W and E to deal meaningful damage and your blind negates his auto-attack reliance during that window.
From level 6, your R mushrooms placed in the river and around scuttle give you vision control that forces Talon to either reveal himself or skip objectives, and in a direct 1v1 you can kite him with your movement speed and poison if you maintain distance, but if he lands his E silence you will likely die before your damage kills him.

Talon will almost certainly run a Red-side start into a fast three-camp clear, looking to hit level 3 quickly and invade your jungle or contest scuttle at the 3:15 mark.
He favors aggressive early pathing through your jungle because his burst at level 3 is strong enough to kill you if he catches you in a tight corridor without room to kite.

You should not invade Talon early; his burst at levels 2-3 in a tight jungle corridor is lethal and you have no reliable escape if he closes the gap.
Instead, use your R from level 6 onward to place mushrooms in his jungle entrances and around his camps, denying him safe pathing and forcing him to waste time or take damage, which is a more effective form of pressure than direct confrontation.

Do not stand still to auto-attack in any trade with Talon; your damage comes from poison ticking over time and you must keep moving to avoid his W and E combo, which deals massive burst damage if he can stick to you.
Overcommitting to a fight near walls or in narrow jungle paths is the most common way you will die, as he can E-silence you and chain his full combo before your poison does meaningful work.
